The mission of the Tri-Cities Medical Response System (TRIMRS) is to create and maintain a system for responding to public health emergencies by enhancing existing local planning efforts for resources, expertise, communication and personnel, in order to increase the capabilities to manage a large number of casualties and/or disruption of services.
Located in south central Nebraska, the TRIMRS region covers 23 counties over 2,500 square miles. These counties include Blaine, Loup, Garfield, Wheeler, Custer, Valley, Greeley, Sherman, Howard, Dawson, Buffalo, Hall, Merrick, Hamilton, Gosper, Phelps, Kearney, Adams, Clay, Harlan, Franklin, Webster, and Nuckolls Counties. Throughout this region TRIMRS serves four public health departments, eighteen hospitals, twenty-five emergency managers, and 500,000 residents.
