Back by popular demand, the 3rd annual Walk for Wellness Program will run from June 1 – June 30, 2010. This program is for people of all levels of fitness and physical activity – for those who haven’t worked out in years, for elite athletes, and for everyone in between. To remain physically active throughout the summer, Loup Basin Public Health Department is encouraging people to commit to walking 10,000 steps a day. There is no cost to participate in the Walk for Wellness Program. Join as an individual, or form a team. Registered participants will receive a participant’s guide and walking log, filled with physical fitness and nutrition tips. Participants record their minutes of activity each day in their log. Individuals and teams that complete the 4-week program will be entered in a prize drawing; prizes will be awarded to three individuals and a catered lunch will be provided for the winning team. This program is sponsored by Loup Basin Public Health Department.
