Water test kits can be ordered by calling the Public Health Lab in Lincoln at 402.471.3935. The water testing kits include tests for nitrates ($9.00) and coli form bacteria ($12.00). The kit contains instructions on how to test your water, when to test and where to send your kit. Samples should be submitted or mailed as soon as possible after collection. Mail your test early in the week to avoid Friday delivery. Samples over 30 hours old must be discarded. The Nebraska Public Health Department Lab will provide you with you test results.
